Gymnastics & COVID-19

Mudgee Gymnastics has adopted the Gymnastics NSW Return to Gymnastics Plan. You can view this plan here www.gymnsw.org.au/reboot

Mudgee Gymnastics is a registered COVIDSafe Business.

Throughout 2020 & 2021 Mudgee Gymnastics worked hard to put measures in place to be able to return to the gym and remain safe against COVID-19. It has been a crazy time and Mudgee Gymnastics would like to thank everyone for their patience, understanding and ongoing support.

In order to remain in the gym during these uncertain times all of our programs must follow social distancing, tracking, WHS and cleaning requirements, and participants must stay home if unwell. Click here to view the Gymnastics NSW Return to Gym plan that we have adopted.

The outline of our plan is listed below.

Mudgee Gymnastics is a registered Covid-19 Safe Business.

Mudgee Gymnastics can accommodate up to 66 people in the gym in line with the 1 person per 4sqm rule. View this link to see Part A - Physical Distancing in our return to gym plan. Only athletes and coaches are currently allowed in the gym. The risk of transmission of COVID-19 is minimised if we practice social distancing.

We have strict cleaning guidelines in place to ensure we are minimising the risk of transmission. Click this link to see Part B Cleaning Guidelines - general and gymnastics specific, in our Return to Gym Plan.

Stay at home if you are unwell. Click this link to view Part C - If Unwell - Stay Home section of our return to gym plan.

It is also our responsibility to ensure the safety and well being of not only participants but also our volunteers and employees. For information on how we consult with our volunteers and employees you can view our return to gym plan Part D - WHS.

A roll is kept for all classes for participant contact tracing purposes should the need arise. for further information in our return to gym plan can be found here for Part E - Contract Tracing. Anyone 16 years and older must sign in with the QR code on entry.

Anyone aged 16 years and older must be doubled vaccinated against COVID-19 and show proof of vaccination to enter the gym.

Our motto for return to gym is “get in, train, get out”.

Extra requirements we have in place to meet the above guidelines are as follows:

We ask that parents and carers remain in their car when dropping off and picking up children for gym. Crosses are marked outside the gym for athletes to wait to enter. A coach will meet athletes at the door to mark the roll, sanitise hands and accompany athletes into the gym. A coach will escort participants outside at the end of class time for children to get straight into their car. Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your class, and ensure you are prompt for pick up. To read further about returning to gym click this link Part G - Return to Gymnastics Participation.

It remains our priority to ensure the safety of our gymnasts and ensure their bodies are sport fit before we look at entering competitions as well as needing to ensure we meet COVIDSafe guidelines in preventing the spread. For further information regarding returning to competition refer to the Return to Gym Plan Part F - Return to Competition.

As always if you have any questions regarding our Return to Gym plan please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thanks to all and take care. We look forward to seeing your children in the gym.
